Par la fenêtre - Saint-Malo

€80.00

The tides are pretty unique at the Bay of Saint-Malo because of the water concentration between Brittany and the Cotentin.

The tidal range, the amplitude between low tide and high tide, can reach up to 14 meters, about twice the usual tidal range in the Atlantic, so you have to be on the lookout when you are on the seaside. Before venturing out onto the sandbanks or rocks at low tide, it is best to find out about the tide times so as not to get trapped by high tide.

Once these parameters have been taken into account, you can enjoy beautiful walks. Such as Petit Bé and the National Fort are only accessible during low tide.

You will also be able to enjoy the seawater pools which fill up, as here, at every high tide.
