In the middle of our expedition in Brittany, more precisely in the centre of Finistère, we came across a French military zone used as a ship's graveyard.
Here, far from curious look, the old ships are taking their well-deserved retirement after long years of service, sailing around the world with up to 3,000 men on board. They are here waiting, already unarmed, to be transported to countries such as India to be destroyed.
Ironically, these metal pieces created for war and destruction, now abandoned by their sailors, are places of intense life. With thousands of gull nests of all kinds on board, they are the ideal place where no predator could come to disturb their babies.
Except once in a while a photographer who is too curious, whom they don't mind attacking violently when he gets too close to their home.
